Gift of a Lifetime: Students and teachers can experience the dramatic stories of transplant patients and donors as they are told in the Transplant Journey and Faces of Donation.Download suggested activities and worksheets and explore the Interactive Body to learn about the organs and tissues that can be transplanted. Students can also send questions that will be answered by experts in the field of organ and tissue transplantation, or you can arrange for a local expert to come into your classroom. Speakers For Secondary Education/Civic Community Programs Available
Donate Life Ambassadors are New Mexico Donor Services volunteer who are organ and tissue transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, health care professionals, and those waiting for transplants.
The Donate Life Ambassadors are available to speak to your school or civic/community groups about organ and tissue donation, and specifically the positive impact transplantation has had on their lives.
These trained volunteers have all been personally touched by organ and tissue donation. The recipients have been given renewed life. Meanwhile, donor family members find donation helps turn their tragedies and sorrows into feelings of triumph and joy.
