January 12, 2025

Natalie was drawing stories before she could spell words. She was the middle child with middle kid energy. She use to save tadpole eggs from my parents pool and puddles in the yard. We had this huge tub of tadpoles She fed and cared for every year. Watching them hop out was so much fun. She had a creative mind and was always drawing. From 5th grade on there was always art pieces of hers displayed in museums in our city. She graduated high school with 2 diplomas. 1 From the Cambridge Program and Another from Academy of Entertainment Arts. I was so proud of her. Then she went to UCF and got a Bachelors of Arts digital media. Hoping one day to work in gaming design. She did art commission for friends online while looking for work. She also was talented with roosters. I have lots of chickens and she tamed 3 roosters and made it so I can hold all of them. She was amazing. At 24 she was just beginning to live. It’s unfair that she’s not here.

Saying thank you

Many donor families find that corresponding with the transplant recipient or recipients can be a powerful experience. Donor families can take comfort in sharing stories and sending well wishes to those who live on because of their loved one.

Should you choose to connect, we're here to help. Letters and cards can be a tremendous gift to both the donor families and recipients. To protect everyone, we provide guidelines for communication. Names remain confidential unless both parties agree to share those with one another, and we provide a correspondence address. We are happy to share sample letters to help you get started.

For more information about corresponding with recipients, please call us at 505-843-7672.

We can only do it together
