Nayisha Molly Ann Delaney

Organ Donor

/

May 20, 2023

Nayisha Molly Ann Delaney was a beautiful, happy, intelligent, observant and opinionated 2 1/2 year old girl. She had a smile that melted your heart and spread joy in your soul. She turned people’s heads and put smiles on their faces. Her happiness was contagious. At any new activity or event, Nayisha would quietly watch before competently joining the activity whether it be decorating cookies, helping you cook or retelling a story. She loved to help and was curious about everything. She could count to 10 and sing the ABC song loud and clear and put together the big boys’ Legos. She loved hide and seek, being rocked by grandma, being pulled in the wagon by her brothers and looking at pictures of herself. Her most recent desire was to go to every playground and test every slide and swing. She was the sun that lit everyone’s life that knew her. May her life now brighten the lives of others.

Saying thank you

Many donor families find that corresponding with the transplant recipient or recipients can be a powerful experience. Donor families can take comfort in sharing stories and sending well wishes to those who live on because of their loved one.

Should you choose to connect, we're here to help. Letters and cards can be a tremendous gift to both the donor families and recipients. To protect everyone, we provide guidelines for communication. Names remain confidential unless both parties agree to share those with one another, and we provide a correspondence address. We are happy to share sample letters to help you get started.

For more information about corresponding with recipients, please call us at 505-843-7672.

We can only do it together
